An Evening of Poetry in Translation fuses music with the spoken word, promoting the dissemination of world poetry and multicultural voices. This reading features the poetry of Hafiz, Pablo Neruda, Federico García Lorca, Katalin Ladik, Yvan Goll, Claire Goll, Keszthely Reszo, Guillevic, Marc Ichall, Stella Vinitchi Radulescu, and Hugh-Alain Dal read in English-language adaptations by Thomas Rain Crowe, Nan Watkins, Emoke B’Racz, Luke Hankins, and Caleb Beissert.

The Altamont is a brand new, multimillion-dollar, state-of-the-art, green-certified black box theater located in the heart of downtown Asheville. The venue also features a wine/beer bar and an art gallery.

This event is being held in conjunction with Asheville Wordfest.
